All Seasheer jewellery consists of 92.5% Sterling Silver.
Silver is a metal that easily discolors over time, but avoid contact with materials that cause discoloration as much as possible,
and manage it with the enclosed silver cleaner liquid or polishing cloth to maintain the unique silver color.
Silver is discolored by *ammonia, sulfur, chlorine*, specifically by the substances below.
*Ammonia: Body fluids, such as sweat, air substances, etc. of ammonia in the bathroom
*Sulfur: Sulfurized gases, such as automotive exhaust gases, surfactants in cosmetics and detergents(Sulfur ester, alkyl ether),
sulfur compounds in rubber products, and sulfur dioxide in rubber meter adhesives(bonds, etc.)
*Chlorine: chlorine organic solvents(clothing goods with residual dry cleaning solvents),
vinyl or wrap products of vinyl chloride, chlorine bleach(or swimming pools sterilized with it), seawater.
In particular, silver covered with chloride discolors to black like the film when exposed to light.
If you have any further questions about silver discoloration, please feel free to contact us through the 'Help' board.
